I am in the middle of publishing my book on my exit from the JWs. It is still hosted on Freeminds, but is undergoing revision to clean up grammar, spelling, split a couple of chapters and add a couple of chapters. I will also be adding an appendix of correspondence with the Watchtower Society. All that is great and moving along well ... but, something new has happened!
Yes indeed !!! I just got a phone call yesterday from a player in my exit story, a fellow apostate, who updates me once in a while on my last congregation. He relayed that the Special Representative (SR) mentioned in my Part 18 - "The Last Stand - My Brother's Gift" was sentanced to ten years in prison for money laundering for a Mexican drug cartel. My oh my ... how things come back full circle. This man was brought in to keep an eye on the congregation to protect it from apostate wolves, such as me and the brother I mentioned. While there, he uses the money of the local JWs to put in unregistered investment schemes ... and yes, the JWs trust him, because he is a man of Jehovah from the Society.
Now, he is a convicted felon. Sooooooooooooo ... I will be adding a long foot note to Part 18 to discuss some details now available in the public domain. It helps make even more sense as to why the Elders ran to him, scared of little ol' me ... and why they got him to start refunding some of the investment money. You see, Mr. SR was involved in all kinds of activity. We knew that his off-shore investment schemes, using funds from retired JWs and those on medical disability, was not in conformance to state securities laws, but we didn't know just how deep and far he went to make money ... come on Watchtower Society, can't you do better than using someone involved with the Mexican Drug Cartel? Holy Jumpin Jehosaphat Batman, you guys up there in Crooklyn are worse than a complete joke. You can read the original account here: http://www.exjws.net/pioneers/part18.htm. If you would you like to read more about him, I will be applying on Monday to get information from the Deptartment of Justice on his case file. I will post some of the dirty laundry here, so that you can see what fine upstanding men the organization sends in to help their congregations be safe from apostate wolves. Stay tuned ... Jim W.
