Irritating Dubspeak

It seems the most popular phrase used by the dubs is, "Jehovah's Service."

Now, using God's name isn't irritating to me. But ignoring his Son is.

All the time, meetings, conventions and assemblies, it's "Parents - are you raising your young ones to take up Jehovah's Service?"

When you really sit back, and take note, it's quite shocking how the Son of God is NEVER mentioned in general dub discourse. Except when

they wish to invoke the FDS bit, Jesus is just not a central theme to the Society's core beliefs.

    "In Jehovah's Service"

"Are you going out in Jehovah's Service"

God, the whole phrase is so unbiblical and not even found in the Bible.

Yes, the JWs really do relegate Jesus Christ to the role of background player.

Is it any wonder many people I have met throughout my life, both before and after my exit, are surprised to learn that JWs believe in Christ?

An easy mistake to make: no Christmas, no Easter, no Eurcharist, and an obsession with the Jahoobee of the Old Testament. I think their recent self re-invention (calling themselves "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses) is a desperate attempt to correct this problem, and to ride the coattails of the Evangelical movement.

Oh, and don't you think its funny, they make such a big deal about using Jahoobee's holy name, but then they OVERUSE it to the point it is more like a threadbare brand (think Coke, McDonald's, etc). Wasn't there something in Old Testament about not taking the Lord's name in vain?

~Quotes, of the "is CCJW sort of like the "New Coke" fiasco???" class
