Today my baptized JW wife and unbaptized publisher teenage children joined me in our first Christmas celebration as a family.
It was lots of fun, and VERY corny and lame.
For a tree, I stepped outside and trimmed a branch off an evergreen and put it in a vase on our dining table. I made a yellow star from a Post-It note. My wife joined in by placing dollops of cotton ball snow on the "tree".
Then the kids were summoned to hear the tale of Santa Witch!
I put a cotton ball on top of a floppy stocking cap and donned it. With gift certificate cards in pocket I mounted my broom and swooped into the dining area. Santa Witch visits the poor JW kids every year on Christmas day and gives them discreet gifts under a discreet tree. It was unexpected and the kids loved it.
I think we may have started a twisted family tradition!
Three cheers for Santa Witch!!

p.s. We're not into paganism or wicca, just trying to see how many holidays we can squeeze into one day for maximum Disfellowshipability.
