How can a person tell when a dub has reached the point of no return?

How can a dub tell for themselves.

(for those who know my story, don't mistake my question for a hopeful turn of events)

I was just curious how someone determines a person's status re the org with absolute certainty?

I'm not sure if it can be done.....just look at R.Franz, he was up there at Bethel, in a very important position and seemingly very endoctrinated ,and now he's an apostate.

I guess if a parent lets their kid die because of the no-blood issue, and they still feel it's the good thing and are still very active as a JW...then they might be in for good...

Well, people are individuals so there should be many points of no return.

    1. When they find something better to go to.

    2. When they can start tasting the BS.

    3. When they realize the abuse won't stop until they leave.

    4. When it gets too painful/dangerous to stay.

Like straddling a fence that just keeps getting higher

    5. When they realize that lying to the rank and file is the rule not the exception

    6. That staying with the WTS is being unfaithful to God

    7.

    8.

My husband and I always gauged that point when a person didn't even bother to come to the Memorial, something akin to the unforgivable sin and a sign that not only had you abandoned the 'truth' but Jehovah had abandoned you. I've actually missed the past two years now, out of 7 years of missed meetings. What a wonderful point to reach.....I'm done!

Funny how a dub can be inactive, engage in all manners of immorality and be far from the point of no return. The dub experience can be a vicious cycle kind of like crash dieting/gorging yourself. So even if they fall "off the wagon" probably the tell-tale signs have to do with their "loss of appetite" for the whole thing. I wouldn't exactly know how to read that though.
