**please tell me why JW are a cult?**
JoRiz Response:
Got an hour?
Don't let what they do cloud your thinking.
Have you read my article Are JW's a cult?
Personally I think JW's are a cult because they have become a "God" so to speak in what they have
predicted over the years to their members.
They have made countless errors of prophecy that can't be just overlooked. If any other organization
had come out with the blunders that they have made they would have jumped all over them.
Please remember the Bible is VERY specific about what makes a false prophet.
"When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is
the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt
not be afraid of him."
Deuteronomy 18:22
Be honest here my friend. On the Internet some where are 29 PAGES of false things the WT has said
through the years. Some things that have actually KILLED their members. Here is a site dedicated to
those who have died:
http://www.ajwrb.org/victims/index.shtml
Watchtower Victims Memorial
Dedicated to the memory of Jehovah's Witnesses and their children who died as result of the
Watchtower's decrees banning blood transfusions, organ transplants, skin grafts, vaccinations, and
discouraging care by psychiatrists and psychologists.
If God was really running this organization these things wouldn't be happening.
These decisions a based on MANS thinking and have NOTHING to do with God at all.
To make matters worse if ANY JW disagrees with any so called "Ahithophel" statement they would
get disfellowshipped.
"And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at
the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom."
2 Samuel 16:23
Ahithophel, like the WT Society, had become an "oracle" to those who believed him without questioning.
As in Ahithophels case he actually had members of the nation of Israel violate Gods word replacing it
with his uninspired words of destruction. Please remember these individuals KNEW the Bible but chose
to go with their "oracle" of the day Ahithophel.
As a result like the rest of the Duet scripture says:
"but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."
The WT organization HAS spoken presumptuously and to make matters worse has made those of its
members "afraid" to speak up against it out of FEAR of getting disfellowshipped.
It comes a point in time when one has to either really believe the Bible for what it says or rely on
humanistic organizations like the WT who's track record speaks for itself as a fulfillment of Duet 18:22
If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
