Sex Offenders & Halloween in NY/NJ

Heard this on the news and thought this was pretty awesome. Apparently in 1 NY county, sex offenders are being ordered to attend a 4-hr seminar Halloween night and those who don't show up will be visited at home by law enforcement. In New Jersey, they have been ordered to be inside their homes by 7 pm Halloween and are not allowed to answer their doors. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/9817610/
Now before someone says, "It's not enough," I realize that of course. Just saying I thought it was a step in the right direction.

That's a pretty good thing actually instead of doing nothing here, like I'm sure is the case since they don't even really keep track of any sex offenders properly where I live.

Good! Hopefully will eliminate contact when so many youngsters are out. I agree, good 1st step. I think I will forward this to my local paper.
