Cheryl Swoopes announced that she is a lesbian. Although it was no secret among many in the WNBA it is a courageous move and she should be applauded.

However, she announced that she has been in a relationship for a few years with her former assistant coach Alisha Scott (I think I got her name right).

Question: Do you think it is ethical for a player to have an intimate relationship with a coach?

It makes you wonder, what if this was a man who had a relationship with a female player? What would be the repercussions of their actions?

Incidentally, Alisha resigned as coach in 1/05.

what makes me laugh is that this is considered newsworthy. I read the story on ESPN. Of all the chicks i have known who are into competitive sports, the majority of them are lesbian. and good on them I say!

It does not surprise me that she came out. I think if it had been a male/female relationship two things would have happened 1.She would be traded to another team or 2. Coach would be fired. I would be willing to place money on number 1.
