How many of you stayed in the "lie" longer than you believed it was true because you needed financial support from someone in the Borg.

I know I stayed longer than I wanted to so that I could become financially independant from my parents and therefore I could do as I pleased without the financial ramifications.

I have been slowly weeding out JW clients and hope to be completely free of them by the end of the year.

It has been hard going from time to time. But it is for the better.

BTW, if anyone needs web programming, DB programming, or web design work done, send me a PM.

I remember the account of a JW, Robert Bryant who was self-employed in California, was DF'd and lost all his JW customers. He eventually moved to Oregon and in despair killed his family and himself.

I can understand the difficulty of leaving with WTS when your livelihood currently depends on JW customers or you work for a JW boss.

But with careful planning, as ITIS said, you can offset that.

I've got a daycare center at home, and when I was in, I was supposed to take one or two dubby-kids. In the end I decided against it, and now I am so glad I took this decision, my DA would have caused all sorts of problems from the kids having to switch places again to finding new ones. I guess I never got attached in any ways in there...I didn't even have real friends...

I postponed for a while as I couldn't afford my own place, and didn't know what to do about my JW housemates.

I know a lot of kids at my cong stayed in till they had a job and could support themselves, then left home and the org. Some of them wisely avoided baptism, but the ones who got dipped are now estranged from their families. They got called a few names when they went, ungrateful being about the nicest thing anyone said.
