I was just wondering how many Born-agains become JW's especially the ones that know all about the WT history of false prophecies, scandals, etc; And what do they say now if they might have told you about the errors of the WT. Do they suddenly get amnesia? I remember when I was in high school in the 1980's there was a girl that used to try and convert me to born-againism. I thought she was demonized and would tell her she was going to be destroyed at Armaggeddon. She would tell me that the WT was a false prophet and had Satanic doctrines. Now I heard thru the grapevine that she is studying with her JW aunt. I wish I could just tell the girl set her mind back 20 yrs ago.

Not totally on-topic, but the most die-hard JW I ever knew was married to the most die-hard BA you ever knew. I think they lived to spite each other.

I knew of two such persons, whom at one point had considered themselves to be "born again."

How strong these two may have been in their convictions, though, could have been a different story! It would seem that this term "born again" can be very loosely applied - anyone can call themselvesborn again.

I remember being a small child and constantly hearing about "bornagains" and how they would argue with Witnesses at the door, and how challenging it was to come across one, and how stubborn they were. It fascinated me. After my deconversion from Watchowerism I briefly flirted with the idea that I was "born again in the gospel" but that didn't last long. I have chatted with many BACs over the last 7 or 8 years and I can't imagine one that would substitute Judge Rutherford's Jesus for Billy Graham's Jesus.

I know of one that I'm certain about. He's been at bethel for about 12 years now.
He studied with JW's when he was about 24 or so and ate it up. Couldn't get enough. He came in quickly, pioneered right away and was at bethel about 18 months after he started pioneering. I hear he's still as zealous as he ever was.

My Ex-wife was a born again and became a JW along with me. The JWs opened her eyes on the falsities of doctrines like hellfire and immortality of the soul. She chalks off the organization's shortcomings to human imperfections.

No...but I know a fair amount of Ex-JW's that became Born Agains. They went from one bowl of dog vomit to another. They obviously couldn't live their life without a lot of hypocrisy, self-loathing, and judgemental attitutes.
