As usual, they always want to emphasise their role as a only chosen representative of God like Moses, Eliah or John or whatever. Of course if they'd be like Moses, their words should be taken seriously, but are they in that position? No, they are NOT. The very history of the Society illustrates it's just the opposite. Since the times of Rutherford they have ruthlessly been taking that role to themselves. God has never given that position to them they claim to have. So if we disagree with the Society or its appointed representatives, whether an elder, CO or member of the Governing Body, on some essential point, it is NOT the same as going against God himself. In this way they just try to stress their supposed authority and the structures based on that authority. It is an excellent threat to keep the rank-file silenced and make them feel instantly guilty if they accidentally happen to say something critical about the Org and its yes-yes men.

I have won my battle in this regard. I believe that the JW organisation is a wrong prophet. That's why there is no need to be scared of their verbal harrassment. I'm not rebelling against God. It hasn't ever entered on my mind. I'm against the men who think too much of themselves and who try to steal themselves a position in which they don't have any rights whatsoever. It is them who are going against God here! Aah, how it helped. I almost lost my temper, sorry about that, guys.

    HI Liquid!

    you said:

That is so true, and when you realize that, it helps to break free from the mind control spell that so many of us were/are under.

    To freedom!

Can you say yourself, Bileam? Well, I won't start any argumentation with you because it'd be useless waste of time...

    GodRules,

if God really rules then why is the Governing Body attempting to usurp His position? The history of the Governing Body has shown that they cannot be God's Channel. That singular claim is a blasphemy to the name of God. Take another look at the history of the Governing BOdy of Jehovah's Witnesses, and you'll see whose channel it is.

The GB has done an excellent job taking care of Jehovah's interests here on earth. Although dealing with other imperfect humans, they have given the guidance necessary to take care of the preaching work worldwide, as Jesus instructed. They have given attention to the reading of the Bible and have encouraged millions to pay attention to God's word and follow it's counsel.

According to Revelation, Jesus has everything under control in his right hand.

You are no one to try to slap his hand so that he lets go of those stars.

It is your own opinion that the GB is no God's Channel, based on hateful information.

There are many other religions doing the same job, GodRules. And that ''hateful information'' are the Societys literature itself and the very history of JW religion.

OfCourseGodRules, but not through any human organisation, but through His Holy Spirit and the Bible. Organisations are not a purpose but a means.

It is also a human opinion that God uses only the Jehovah's Witnesses and its Governing Body. Besides, I don't deny that God may use some witness individuals for His purposes. There are many good people in the JW's. I'm not that black and white as it may appear.

    Godrules,
The simplest question to ask is: What have they ever gotten right? What books published longer than ten years ago do they still consider current, and can turn to and say ``read this again; Jehovah's people hit the nail on the head!" Certainly not the Your Will Be Done on Earth nor the Let Your Name Be Sanctified, nor the May 22 1969 Awake! which assured JW teens graduating in the high school class of 1969 that they would not grow old, much less die.
If you think it honors God to forge his name onto a bum check, or to hold his name up for ridicule by ascribing such twaddle to Him, you're beyond help. Do you think this material can stand up to objective critical scrutiny? Would you be willing to defend it in an honest public forum? Good luck (oh, no, excuse me, I forgot): good fortune.
