I know our friends in foreign parts dont know about this annual thing, but in Britain its a BBC charity night. Where the whole of the UK take part in fund raising events

I find it pretty boring, but that me !

Girls Aloud were on, the Corrs, Katie Melua and Katherine Jenkins to come ... of course I'm watching !!

It is a good effort for a lot of good local causes, hope we manage to beat last years record.

The whole office where I work went "Children In Need " crazy as usual with events and fund raisers. I dont mind supporting a good cause and I hope that because it is so high profile , that the money actually gets to help somebody .

I did place a rather negative comment on the BBC message board though, about the fact that the whole evening schedule [BBC1]is replaced by fund raising banal stuff (at least that is my opinion, perhaps it is the price to pay for raising the money)

BTW . I believe a lot of it is distributed at home. If the government had its priorites right then these needs would not have to depend on charity.

I was at work last night, but I did manage to catch the Dead Ringers sketch with Tony Blair and John Culshaw, that was good. And the Bohemian Rhapsody sketch, apart from that I missed most of it.
