It was about 9:30am and I saw two " sisters " I knew just pulling out of the parking lot for service. They looked awefull, one was fat and the other looked old. They use to be very nice looking ladies. Neither of them was smiling. They just looked tired.
Went by my old hall today,,

Yeah, I've seen the look. Working your way to salvation is a drag for those unfortunate enough to have gotten the shorter end of the short stick as far as christianity goes. No placy de magazines.....no placy in da new sistum

It was Christmas morning, the year before last . we had got up so early and driven to my Mother In Laws place to visit. As we arrived, about a quarter to ten I spied two people walking on the other side of the street
It was a man, around 45 years old and his mother, both dubs and it was obvious from their dress and bags that they were to meet the group for field service. I knew these people . We had all been active in that congo up until twenty years ago.
Here they were, he was, I believe, still a bachelor living at home, and walking the same streets with his mother , to the same group location to knock on the same doors and tell the same people the same message of impending disaster that had been delivered for all this time. And it still hasn't happened.
They also looked tired and sad, so would I if nothing had changed in my life, period...I believe that people like that are the victims.

I don't know why y'all have to be so critical. They look tired because they have been working all their lives for a seat on the WT corporation's Paradise Express. I can hear it in the distance now:
She'll be coming 'round the corner when she comes.

It really is kinda sad. When you think about it, It's a lot of pressure to save the world.
