GLITTER FIRING SQUAD THREAT
PERVERT pop star Gary Glitter could face the death penalty in Vietnam if convicted of child rape.
A 12-year-old girl has allegedly told police Glitter, 61, had sex with her three times, paying £5.50 each time.
In Vietnam, sex with a child of under 18 is classed as rape even if the victim has consented. And those convicted can be sentenced to execution by firing squad. Glitter, 61, was caught trying to flee the country at the weekend after allegations of his involvement with young girls surfaced.
He served part of a jail sentence for computer child porn in Britain in 1999 before heading to Cuba, then Cambodia.
He was thrown out of Cambodia in 2002 after allegations he was looking for under-age girls for sex
