Where is the 1st century example of a legal department, that we can pattern this aspect of our worship after, today?
and
Where's the "antitypical lawyer and insurance adjuster class" mentioned that justifies the huge WTS legal dept.?
I mean, the gospel writers obviously didn't submit their writings to any legal dept. for any comprehensive review. For example "pick up your torture stake and follow me" is just crying out for a huge disclaimer.
i.e. YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT FOLLOWING THIS ADVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK, WE ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY BACK INJURY OR DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF ANY ACTION TAKEN.
or "Therefore, if YOU, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to YOUR children, how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him!”
**OFFER NOT VALID IN REALITY**
Actually this has got me thinking maybe lawyers are not all bad, but they should have been all over these bible writers a lot sooner way back when for breach of promise...
No lawyers in 1st century congregation?

Why does the WTS even have lawyers? What, they don't TRUST IN JEHOVAH to protect his Borganization? That in itself should send a red flag to the R&F but the poor fools are so blinded that they never even think about that.
The WTS has the perfect RACKET going, I tell you they are Geniuses when it comes to running a total scam. They have employees (bethelites) that work for free, other employees that teach the crap full time (pioneers) for free, yet other employees that teach the brainwashing to the masses (CO's & PO's) pretty much for free with the exception of the R & F paying for their insurance's, and so on, and all the money they rake in, from investments in Real Estate, Rand CAM, Phillip Morris etc., they get that TAX FREE, WOW WHAT A SCAM!

SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE ADDED TO YOU subject to the following terms and conditions;
The authors statement in no way expressly or impliedly indicates that the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society and any of its associated, affiliated and or subsidiary organisations incorporated and or otherwise ("the society") agree to or intend to provide for any losses pecuniary or otherwise that maybe incurred as a result of believing such statement. You agree by following and or believing this statement that you should at all times seek to mitigate any losses you incur personally whilst undertaking and or following such statement to the letter. If you undertake to comit any criminal offence contrary to your national laws and regulations then you do so entirely at your own risk; the society does not undertake to provide legal representation unless you are accused of paedophilia within the society.

DB1974 - That would be hilariously funny if it wasn't so true.
There are days that I wonder, how the hell did we fall into that trap? What was wrong with my parents brain cells?
The legal department of the WTBTS is certainly a 'fine tool of the wonderful FDS'. How would they continue without these 'body guards'?
