I donated to the Salvation Army today. I threw my money into the little kettle outside the store. I am not telling you this so you can say how kind and generous I am. I have been out for 23 years and still live in a very small town with my still believing wife. I have donated to the Sally Ann before...This is the FIRST TIME I ever did it without looking around to see if an ELDER was watching. Mind Control is a funny thing and the Borg is a master at it...This is why this religion refuses to DIE or be KILLED..They control the minds of too many people.

I stuck some money in the kettle this year too. I didn't care whether any JWs saw me or not either. It felt good.

Congrats, Poztate!
I can only imagine the looks you might have gotten if there were any Witnesses around. "Oh my goodness, will you look at that! See, leave Jehovah's Organization and the *first* thing you go and do is donate money to poor people!"

Congrats, Poztate!
I got into it with my wife the other night about how the WT only donates to themselves and not others. The WT will go into an area and help DUBS only. They will not set up a food bank or aid "worldly people" She denied it and claimed that they were donating to everyone and did not worry if you were a dub or not...sounds like bull shit to me... DF'ed are you out there...please respond

I distinctly remember the WT stating that there were plenty of organisations dedicating themselves to ditributing food, shelter and clothing to people who need them but no-one dispensing life saving spiritual food!
