I am about to "come out" of the JW closet, and dissapoint my JW family. I was wondering how fast the Society reacts? If I'm out on December 15th, when will the elders tell my family to shun me? Anyone have any experience on what time-frame I should expect? The closest guess without going over the time frame gets a prize magazine from my collection!

You'll have About 2 to 4 weeks before the announcement is made. Theoretically, they'll have to shun you once you told them your intentions of leaving.
if they are real people... i mean those with emotions and are still capable of feeling love, they will never shun you at all... at least not in private... i hope its that for u...
