James 3:7 For every species of wild beast as well as bird and creeping thing and sea creature is to be tamed and has been tamed by humankind.

Looking too deeply, or does this not seem to be Biblical proof that paradise, with all its teeming of wild and domestic animals have the possibility of being governed by mankind?

Do you still wish to be there? In reality, wouldn't it be nice to live in a world free from all the pain and discomfort of being, only human? Is there not some shred of hope that at least that part of our indoctrination, living forever on a paradise earth, is a very real desire and a possibility?

For those who still think or believe that Paradise is not just a dream but a reality that mankind will experience oneday, are there any scriptures that keep you encouraged as to its coming?

Seperate the Witness from the message in scripture.

A new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness is to dwell.

What have the other religions promised?

I don't think I want to go to heaven.

Under proper conditions, this planet could truly be a wonderful place to live.

Do we not need the New System?

Are we just destined to suffer along in this condition of humanity?

Please put your eggs and rotting vegetables away!!! This is in no way spoken from a Watchtower Society Appologist Point of View. Remove the Witness from the messages that scripture gives.

If suffering was removed - if people lived in unity and we have none of today's problems I agree the earth would be wonderful. Point I already think the earth is amazing but that would enhance it. As for living forever... I don't know so much about that.

    Hi Prophecor,

I still believe in a Paradise and believe that it could happen, and it would be enjoyable. Evidently JW's don't have a monopoly on that belief, because Catholics and some Baptists also believe in a Paradise. There are other smaller religions that do as well. They just differ on the details of the journey.

Upon watching the mind it seems quite clear that religions are a product of the mind. Just another avenue by which the mind quite masterly creates and reinforcing the belief that we are broken people in need of a future paradise, something, or someone to make us whole. These assumptions and beliefs need to be sincerely and diligently questioned and examined for their legitimacy. The problem is, they seldom ever are. We lazily stumble through life in a foolishly accepted and unquestioned stupor having never lived. (no offence meant to any particular person; I'm speaking to everyone including myself)

We go on blindly believing we are broken, and the world simply reflects this level of consciousness. Change begins at home. Freedom from brokenness and suffering begins by honestly and earnestly investigating into the authenticity of who and what we imagine ourselves to be.

Don't expect the world to help. Don't count on religions to guide you to the truth of unbroken and pristine wholeness which resides already within your own being. From what I have seen we need to make the steps alone. It is our own hands which pull the rug out from under us.

Are we "only human"? Have we sat alone and inquired into the bottomless expanse of our intimately felt existence? Have we deeply investigated and questioned: who am I, really?

Once we are certain of our identity, then maybe we will be qualified to question what or where we will be in the future. But something tells me there will be no need for such questions to arise.

In my view there will be no future Earthly paradise - we have it as good as it is going to get. The downward spiral has already started. Do we expect G-d to suspend natural laws to keep our planet safe? If G-d didn't stop that asteroid from wiping out the dinosaurs, then what makes us think he will deflect the next big on from hitting us ? Will he stop the next natural ice age cycle? From the perspective of animals and the environment humans have already destroyed most of our natural Earthly paradise. You can't stop natural cycles ,and climate swings could make human habitation above 40 degrees latitude impossible- maybe before this century is over. Oil and coal have powered our lifestyle and population growth. Solar and wind power hold out some hope for a sustainable civilization , but I am afraid it will be too little, too late to prevent a collapse of society. Our governments and corporations see no urgency as long as there is money to be made with the present business model.

    Whoops!

One of the teachings is that love and faithfulness must so prevail in the hearts that men may see the stranger as a friend, the sinner as an intimate fellow, may count enemies as allies, regard foes as loving comrades, call their executioner the giver of life, consider the denier as a believer and the unbeliever as a faithful one -- that is, men must behave in such a manner as may befit the believers, the faithful, the friend and the confidant. If this lamp may shine in a befitting manner in the assemblage of the world you will find that the regions will become fragrant and the world become a delectable paradise, the surface of the earth will become an excellent garden, the world will become as one home, the different nations will become as one kind, and the peoples and nationalities of the East and West will become as one household. I hope such a day may come and such lights may dawn and such a Countenance may appear in the utmost beauty.
