You know what the Holy Grail is?

    Holy Grail?

    Yeah, I know that one.
That was like Jesus' juice glass.

Yeah, I used to be such a Catholic.
Do you still believe in God?
    You gotta believe in God.

But I don't believe that God made
    men in His image.

Most of the shit that happens
    is because of men.

No, I think man was made
    in the Devil's image...

...and women were created out of God.

    After all, women have babies,
which is kind of like creating.

And it accounts for the fact
that women are so attracted to men.

Let's face it, the Devil is
a hell of a lot more interesting.

I've slept with some saints in my day,
    and believe me...

    Boring!

So the whole point of life...!!!!!
...I think, is for men and women...

...to get married, so that God
and the Devil can get together...

    ...and work it out.

Not that we have to get married
    or anything.

    God forbid.

You have just been treated to one of the best arguments in the movie: The Fischer King, starring Jeff Bridges & Robin Williams. Above is the dialogue between Jack (played by Jeff Bridges) and his on screen girlfriend. Quite an interesting argument. GOD & SATAN Man & Woman. The US & THEM Philosophy Interesting Concept. Man of Satan / Women of God?

Huh.....I thought your topic was referring to the movie by that title. I met the little old lady that starred in that movie when I was in California. She and her fam are jdubs. Her hubby looks like Gene Kelly. She was thrilled that someone wanted to hear her talk about her "good ol' days"...heheh

I don't like being cast on the God/Saint side of things. It's demeaning.

I don't know about this. It's a good movie but I have difficulty with the quotes. I guess it's just that I think--just because a woman can pro-create doesn't mean all women should. Some women shouldn't be mothers-- just cause they can doesn't mean they should. Same goes for men being fathers.

I think the movie quote is too idealistic. And other statements like women are less violent I think are wrong too. Glad people look to my gender for romantic ideals about child bearing and peace but I know it's not true. Some of the most violent, verbally abusive and unsavory people I've met have been female. And I've met a lot of people.
