The next town over from me was kind enough to send their sister city in the UK a very thoughtful gift, and THIS is the thanks they get!
What is it with these Brits?

No accounting for taste. One town near me with a spinach cannery has as its town mascot.... you guessed it, an 8' statue of Popeye. Wonder where they could send a copy. Another town has its visitor information center in, of all things, a restored turn of the century bordello. Just think, some towns in New England don't want a Wal-Mart! How un-american!

If the town can have a MacDonalds why not a freeking Mr Pothead, I say?
Besides I'd be proud to have it grace our Elizabethan market square with cobbled paving. It could even go outside 'Ye Olde Tea-room for Nibbles' (once frequented by Oliver Cromwell). Or if it's a pedestrian hazzard, we could put it in our 9th century cathedral, sacked and rebuilt in the Norman conquest, to remind us that the American cultural conquest is merely a favour returned.
