OK, it's not really "new" proof... I posted this a few years ago, when I first joined JWD, but I thought some new folks might need a chuckle today:
Notice if you please:
Every Who down in Who-ville liked Christmas a lot
But the Grinch, who lived just North of Who-ville, did not!* New York is one of the northern-most states in the lower 48!
The Grinch hated Christmas, the whole Christmas season
Please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason
It could be perhaps that his shoes were too tight
It could be his head wasn't screwed on just right* if you happen to read any of Charles "Craze" Russell's stuff on pyramidology, germ theory, quack science etc., this is a no-brainer
But I think the most likely reason of all,
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small [Ted Jaracz - we're talking about you!! are your ears burning!!]
But whatever the reason, his heart or his shoes
He stood there on Christmas Eve, hating the Whos* hateful, offspring of vipers..... hypocrites.... who will tell people who celebrate Christmas that they are like "dogs returning to their own vomit"
the most damning evidence that the Grinch is a metaphor for the WTS/JWs comes later on in the story:
when the Grinch is caught by Cindy-Lou Who the story continues:
She stared at the Grinch and said, "Santy Claus, why?
Why are you taking our Christmas tree? Why??"
But you know, that old Grinch was so smart and so slick
He thought up a lie, and he thought it up quick!
"Why my sweet little tot", the fake Santy Claus lied
"There's a light on this tree that won't light on one side
So I'm taking it home to my workshop, my dear.
I'll fix it up there. Then I'll bring it back here."*the Grinch claims the Christmas tree needed NEW LIGHT!! CASE CLOSED!!
The fact that some of us left our Grinchy ways is reflected in the happy ending of the story.
