I don't know if this has only been aired on British TV, so maybe a lot of you wont know what I'm talking about...

But I thought it was an interesting insight into the human mind when the actor who was onboard the "shuttle" said that after a while he started to believe he was in space himself. I think this guy in effect, living a lie, was starting to loose the plot in the end. Being constantly surrounded by stimuli which are continually telling you that you are in space seemed to over power the knowledge in his brain that he knew it wasn't real. It's no wonder the people who were fooled into thinking they were in space were taken in.

We were all there once... brainwashed.

That sounds very interesting. When I get to the site, which link do I click on to get to the right story?

Well that whole page and subsection of the channel4 web site is dedicated to the show, but here is the "about" page...

How do they pull off the effect of low gravity? Invisible wires attached to the suits? These guys would have to be pretty dense not to catch that one...

Maybe they didn't major is science. I don't know if they can simulate a state of "free fall" or not, but that would make a person experience weightlessness. Right? I didn't major science/physics either. Oh I know! They're all Jehovah's Witnesses!

They trained for several weeks in advance but only 80% of the "indoctrination" was true, the rest was stuff to explain the things such as the anti gravity drive and the reason why they would take of horizontally, etc. Yes, they re-invented gravity and explained a whole new science of anti gravity drives (which the shuttle had 3 of) and they believed it.
