Is there any information on the web that examines the "Pay Attention to Daniels Prophecy" book? I received this book att my first convention "Gods Prophetic Word". At the time I didn't know much about the History of the Watcthtower, but now that I do I can see all the "new light". I also can see that they try to quiet some of the arguments put forth in Raymond Franzs books by adding new interpretation. Was the "happy state" on page 303 ever believed before? Thanks

I know a poster here was keeping us up with the material being studied from the Daniel book every week.
I think it was ithinkisee...yes: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/102726/1773949/post.ashx#1773949
You can go through his post history. People tear it apart on a weekly basis. However, it would be cool to have a chapter-by-chapter analysis on a Web site of the publications.

Apart from my own reviews in posts (which i can't find!) you could try:

Lorri MacGregor has put out an excellent review in a booklet.
In Australia it's available from: http://www.pnc.com.au/~fichrist/

DANIEL The Watchtower's Egocentric View by David A. Reed
DANIEL
The Watchtower's Egocentric ViewThe Watchtower Society's 1999 book Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy! opens with a chapter titled "The Book of Daniel and You," but a more appropriate title would be "The Book of Daniel and US" -- because the organization sees those prophecies as fulfilled in itself.
It asserts that the ancient Jewish prophet Daniel foretold specifically when the Watchtower corporation's Board of Directors would be jailed, and when they would be freed. Also, when certain organizational conventions would be held, and when certain articles would appear in Watchtower publications.
Today's collective Watchtower leadership -- seven corporate Directors plus additional Governing Body members -- were not the first to see the book of Daniel as written about them. The organization's second president, "Judge" Rutherford, came up with the interpretations that are still propounded (although slightly modified) in the 1999 book.
