Since the Jehovah's Witness organization currently rejects most of the teachings of its founder Charles Taze Russell and since they also reject "judge" Joseph Franklin Rutherford, who succeeded Russell as president from 1916 - 1942, how can we be sure that in 25 more years, Jehovah's Witnesses won't also reject the current president, Milton G. Henschel (1992 - present), as they did Russell and Rutherford?

We can be pretty sure about one thing:

The bOrg will eventually reject all of its own teachings - except the one on the special GB channel.

After the death of Rutherford it was Franz that produced most of the JW dogma and it is this that's in line for rejection because after he died in 1992 things in the dogmatic/theological area went dead with hardly anything new coming up.

As you imply it is naive for the JWs to say: oh well as long as we have got the truth now that's all that matters, because given the past record they can never be sure that the current "truth" is any better than the previous "truths".

I think now it's more of a question of getting elders to give up their "glorious" positions! If they can get their megalomania out of their systems the Tower will crumble a lot quicker. Unfortunately, I know too many who just love to laud it over people. It's the highlight of their tiny little lives and they won't want to give it up easily. Still, there are ex-elders who really do have a genuine heart and saw Watchtower for what it truly is - and they tend to come here now They have my admiration because it wasn't easy for them. I think the greater the position one is given the harder it is to give it up. Watchtower knows this, which is why they use position as carrots.

Remember, "Truth" is what is taught now not what was taught yesterday or will be taught tomorrow. The realization that this is the fact of the matter about the WTS is the "Truth that will set you free".

Because the light keeps getting brighter. We don't reject Russell and Rutherford, we simply see more clearly now what they did not. This is all part of Gods wonderful plan, to refine his people. Jehovah is blessing his organizaion and all those who follow this path will...

Forget that, just wait 15 years and their entire Library will be a differant color.

Henshel died a few years back - no such thing now as a president in the old sense of the word. Don Adams and others head various corporations - nobody on the GB has the title president - not even the boss Ted Jaracz

Indeed in October 2000 the WTS of Pensylvania the parent of all other WTS corporations decided to divide the assets of the society between all of them and appoint presidents to each one that were not members of the GB.

This was a manouvre to evade liability in case the GB were sued for deaths caused by the blood ban.
