I have just created a MySpace Blog Group and posted my first ever blog!

    Here's the group: Jehovah's Witnesses—Doctrinal Analysis

And here's my first blog: Jehovah's Witnesses—Judicial Committees

I'm hoping this will attract some attention. I need some feedback, suggestions...

    Respectfully,
    AuldSoul

Feedback? Anyone? Please be specific if you noticed problems with it. "It sucks!" isn't very helpful, for instance.

No time to sign on but a comment here.

When I was still an active JW and read that the WTS based their JCs on the hearings before the older men in Israel, I decided to see what the Bible said. I was stunned to see that it was held in front of the community in the gate not in a closed-door session with only 3 elders (maybe more) and the person.

    It got me thinking

Later when I was looking into the Bible Students, I found that they held these in front of the congregation (baptized members) not in a back room.

    It got me thinking.

Where does it have a place to use an alias? Seems like it wants to use my real name.

As far as the judical committe thing AuldSoul, I agree 100%. To take that scripture that "he should be treated as a man of the nations and a tax collector". Didn't Jesus eat with Tax collectors? Humm maybe the WTS should rethink this one.

There is no Scriptural basis for the following aspects of Judicial Committees:

It would be more clear to the reader that you are not just giving your opinion of the JW judicial process if you can quote the Watchtower's own publications to back up your four points.

Other than that its very informative. Good Job!

    IronClaw,

Until very recently, I used Kalamazoo Invisible as my first and last name...make up an alias, it won't mind.

    YC,

Good idea. I will create a supplemental page for that information.

    Respectfully,
    AuldSoul

What you can do is look through the JW groups and invite the posters to your group. To make it easier, you can look through my friends list and invite all of them. If you want to do that, PM me and I'll send you my super secret James Bond alias. What kinds of ppl are you hoping to attract? There are some you may want to watch out for, if you want to stay away from crazies that is.
