Deception: Are They Even Trying, Anymore?

Yesterday's Watchtower study contained the following:

"In France... the number of home Bible studies increased by an amazing 33 percent [in six months] in that country. It must infuriate

the Devil to see honesthearted ones in France respond to the good news." ( Dec. 15, pg 23)

OK, now the truth. Bible studies were actually up only 2% in France for the year ( see 2005 and 2006 Yearbooks)

Memorial attendance was down , pioneers were down ........ and baptisms were down. Is the Devil turning cartwheels?

The article also offered the strong words:

"Those who fight against God's people are fighting against God, and fighters against God will not prevail."

Do those words strike a chord? That was the name of the talk that killed Governing Body member Lloyd Barry

in Hawaii! As he was delivering stern warnings against "apostates" , he collapsed on stage and was taken away

and died. "Fighters Against God", indeed!

    Let's look at a recent Watchtower ( Mar. 1)

The magazine has a life story about a missionary. The story begins "The talk, 'Millions Now Living Will Never Die' , convinced

my mother that she had found the truth."( pg 12)

Why, why, why, why, is belief in a false prophecy (1925) SUCH A 'BADGE OF HONOR?" Why not instead feel ashamed

and embarrassed at such nonsense? I suppose saying, "wow, we really were suckers and fools" won't ever make it into

    print.

The rear page article of this magazine is entitled "Do You Want to Have Good Friends?"

Well, if you want good friends, don't look for them among Jehovah's Witnesses because your friendship

with them is CONDITIONAL UPON MEETING ATTENDANCE, as we well know!

it's pathetic. I think Watchtower writers are hardly even trying anymore. Of course, if Witnesses are so eager to be deceived,

    why should they?

Given the number of Bethelites that are known to not buy into it any more, perhaps they're working harder than you realize? :-)

Next up, subliminal attempts to break people free:

"What a pleasure it is to serve [GET OUT!] shoulder to shoulder among Jehovah's [RUN!] happy people. Yes, as it could be said of those in the first century [WATCHTOWER LIES!] congregation, so it can said today: 'Happy are those [THE END IS NEVER COMING!] whose God is Jehovah'!"

Are JW's really God's people? What proof do they have other than they say so? That is the question I ask of JW's. The GB's history tells me they are false prophets.

I saw that too this weekend while fighting boredom at the meeting. Also question for someone that might know. I looked in Webster’s and couldn't find an explanation on why a "sect" wasn't a religion. Frankly Jw's are a sect of Christianity no matter how they want to spin it. So it didn't make sense to me why a "European court" would rule them a religion, (worship of a deity) not a sect. (a group of religious believers)

Please explain then why they are placed with the non-witness householders and littered all over public places. sKally

This is so active JWs will feel like they are accomplishing something.
