Doesn't it feel good to meet other witnesses who quit going to meetings?

Today I met a brother who doesn't go to meetings since over 5 years. We didn't talk more than 5 minutes, but he said that he doesn't go anymore, nor does his wife, nor does his father in law liviing below his apartment.

He also told me that the elder's daughter across the street got divorced because her husband committed adultery.

The things you get to know just speaking to 1 witness.

He also told me that when he worked in the cleaning business with the brothers, that they didn't pay him the money he deserved. Basically he said that he got screwed.

I feel good about anyone not going to meetings. Just the opposite when I hear about new appointments and such.

I got an email once from a guy who went to the same congregation I did as a teen. We used to hang out and have jw teen gatherings. It was so cool to hear from him. He found me on some site that I had posted contact infromation on. His father is or was an elder and he gave me the lowdown on the kids that left and stayed. Most left.

    It feels great!

The best thing is there are more and more Jw's who escape from the cult daily. They must have all took to heart the big sign at Brooklyn Bethel and read their Bibles instead of the apostate literature spewing out of the mouths of the GB.

I met a couple of ex dubs last year, it made such a change from the run of the mill worldly people that I usually meet. To find individuals with the same background as me but without the holier than thou Nazi dub attitude that I used to meet in the "trooth".

I feel happy for them and inspired to continue avoidance of the meetinggs, but at the same time I feel for them because I know they have probably gone through some pain and sadness in leaving.

I haven't had the pleasure yet. Looking forward to it, though. The only Witnesses I know who no longer attend meetings anymore are those on this forum. I look forward to logging on every day.
