I tried to search and see if someone else had posted this. I guess even if it is a double post, it is very valuable information. This link should take you to a page where if you are in the US, you can get a map of your home with all registered Sex offenders put into the map in the area. It really is quite amazing.

I was discouraged to see an offender right across the street from the high school.

Just remember that this does not necessarily list every registered sex offender. I was watching a show on this and they told about a man who moved from one state to another and it took 7 months before he was listed.

Also, it does not count the people who had their charge reduced so they are not required to register.

It also does not list all juveniles who have molested.

And of course it does not list the offender who has not been caught yet.

Be sure to have a good family education plan on being aware of molesters and their tactics.

    Love, Blondie

I thought that sex offenders were not allowed to live close to schools, but when I went into that site and typred in my address I was utterly amazed at how many offenders lived around schools here in my town. That pisses me off that they allow those sorry bastards to sit in their homes or wherever and watch our children. Maybe the people need to make congress change this to protect our kids a little better.

Can't you write an anonymous letter to your parole office letting them know that a registered sex offender is living right next to a school? I believe many of them have, as a condition of parole, a rule they can't live near schools. The parole officers may not be aware of it and may be able to force him to move.
