Things happen in threes they say...so now the third thing...the company I work for is liquidating it's assets. In a way I guess it's good, I've been thinking about doing something different for a while now, this kind of forces my hand...but the pressure sucks.

Man I hope so. I haven't had to actually look for a job in a long time, this is kind of scary.
ouch wanderlust! maybe this a sign to try something new. try a new area. it will work out fine. but yeah, the pressure sure lights a fire under ya.
With a good job reference from them you should soon find another job to go to. Why worry?

Funny, already have 4 prospects, former clients of mine...pretty cool.
I'm going ahead and starting my own business as well since I have a few weeks to kill, mobile body shop. I used to do that work a while back so I know how. I'll just specialize in small repairs that body shops charge a fortune for, but I can do them cheaper. and have the customer done at their job, home, etc and ready to drive in a few hours.
