You know, it's not normal to love bomb a perfect stranger just becase they show a sudden interest in the JW religion and at the same time completly ignore a brother or sister because they made 1 error and an elder said to stone shun them to death.
Is the love bombing prelude to better shunning?

So once the newbie in the JW religion feels all that undeserved loved at first, because no one really knows him, isn't this just a trap, so that once he makes a wrong move, all this undeserved love will be taken away...

Believe me, I'm a rat, and I know a lot about traps...

From my own memory...people were genuinely excited when someone new would cross our threshhold...it was kinda like a subconscious affirmation that "hey, maybe we're NOT crazy if someone else on the outside can see what we see..."
Then, if anybody even slightly does anything to threaten that very precarious sense of ok-ness, watch out!

We are southerners. It is second nature to be excited at a guest around here. It is most certainly a double standard if not a trap. I do however think the society's publications, suggest the love bomb, for trapping purposes.
