I would be interested to be able to look up references made from now unavailable literature, does anyone know of a library that contains them? By the way I am in England. Its not that I doubt the many quotaions I have seen, but its frustrating to not see them in the flesh.

The only place I know of is in Washington DC, where copyrighted materials are kept on file....and even that doesn't have all of the publications. You could try calling your WT branch office and see what they say.

I used to have a nearly complete library. I sold some...the rest is in boxes in my daughter's house in Florida. I'm in MA. You're right...it's great to be able to confirm from the original publications. It helped me immensely when I wa on the way out. Try Randy's site at Freeminds. He has some of the old stuff for sale. Sometimes they even pop up on Ebay...

Sometimes, theological seminaries keep these in their libraries. The baptist one here has quite a few of them. You could phone some of them in the larger cities near you.

If you can't find it, just be patient, the material is slowly coming online. Almost all of the Russell-era literature is already online because the Bible Students want people to have access to it. Their are some rare books missing because they were published by the WTBTS, but were not written by Russell.
Since there isn't much of anybody outside the Ex-JW community that is all that interested in Rutherford's writings, that is coming online more slowly. One can buy CDs out there with the literature from that era, but you have to look around to find it. I have a number of the books from the 20s-30s that I am thinking of scanning and making availble some way, perhaps through Reexamine.org if he is interested in it, but that is going to take a little while since I am preparing for a move.

These are great! I have the paper books but I prefer to use these CD's. I can search, copy and paste. -

The GB wanted them removed from the KH libraries because they were an embarassment for them, so much for the inspired writings of the previous FDSs.
