http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060130/sc_nm/environment_climate_scientists_dc This article about the global warming issues is interesting. Perhaps the human race will wipe itself out sufficiently that the planet can recover from his impact. Then we start the whole process over again. Jeff

Global warming causes more evaporation= more precipitation. Now in the far northern climates that means more snow. Too much snow means a late spring=crop failure and maybe an early winter, too. The result could be that we move into an ice age. Nobody really understands the climate cycle. However, an analysis of Geenland ice cores going back over 100,000 yrs shows the climate can tip to a glacial state in less than a decade of time. Some parts of upstate NY can receive 10 feet of snow in one winter- drive around Pulaski, NY and you will see extension ladders going up to 2nd floor windows- in case their front storm doors get blocked by snow and ice overnight. . I saw 36" of that 10 ft of snow in one week that winter (1983- I was working on a nuclear powerplant project). I should have realized a snowmobile junkyard was a bad sign.peace,

The world has been far warmer than it is now, the world has been far colder than it is now. I say bring the warming on. I'm sick of snow.

even if the United States was to halve its CO2 emissions today, you will not be able to stop the growth in India and China which have 1/3rd of the worlds people.
I think we needd a few disasters more yet to really ram the point home

Be careful what you wish for, Stilla, I'm afraid you won't have to wait long.
