I don't know about the aspirin but they certainly did ban vaccinations for 30 years from 1921 to 1952, because they were full of loathsome diseases and devilish.

I seem to remember my folks reminiscing about how some of the Elders would enjoy a nice cigarette before and after the meetings, and that this was acceptable until the '50's....Or maybe I'm full of mularkey. I'm pretty sure I remember this though.

Aspirin yes it doesn't surprise me. It's a blood thinner, maybe that's the problem? Nothing surprises me about these oddballs.
A childhood memory of mine was having to avoid Walls ice cream ( or was it Lyons Maid?), due to it containing (aaaaaaargggggghhhh) . . . . blood.

That's ironic since Aspirin is now recommended for heart patients...like my husband.
