After leaving the JWs did you do anything to exact some revange from them, such as giving a public talk exposing their real nature or discouraging an interested person from following them, or even bringing members out of the cult?

I will have to reverse your question- since my husband joined..... I have only about 70 homes to 'hit' in the next week or so to make my 500 paperboxes (and/or businesses) with my anti witness literature.(I know, shamelessly tooting my own horn) No time slips for me, just trying to get it done by Valentines Day. My special gift to the org. Then there is friends and family I tell about the insane goings on and doctrines and such of the wt. Is it getting even? partly, but mostly I hope no one else loses a loved one to this evil org.

You never were a JW I understand? But the very negative influence of the WTS on your husband turned you against them? It's great to enlighten people about the smart tricks this org uses.

I never did anything to try and get even or anything, but I did talk to my older sister about what a crock it is. But maybe that was a mistake since she is still in and no longer will talk to me

I was thinking about going to the religious editor of the Kansas City Star.

I would like to go over the UN information and the blood changes.

Has anyone ever done that with any measure of success?

    Uninformed

Good for you Carla! Although I have not gone out of my way to spread the truth about the "truth", I certainly don't pass any opportunities to enlighten someone regarding the distructive bloodguily dogma of the WBTS.

I did help a couple of people avoid the cult by informing them on the kind of problems they create to their members, the risk of future shunning, the lack of brotherly love, the twisting of scriptures, the suspect occultic beginnings with Russell and Rutherford, the very unstable doctrines. And once a theologian wanted me to help him write a book on the WTS but in the end he gave up the idea.

That does happen a lot. Sorry to hear that.

Well I am still in but I make sure I recycle at least 30 pieces of literature each month (books, magazines from the lit counter and all) I figure I am doing my part if I am able to keep at least some of that crap away from the hands of the innocent.

    Too far-fecthed?

A better thread title would be, did you get any vengeance on the WTS after leaving?

Because, I don't think there is anything I could do short of a felony and conviction by the DHS (Department of Homeland Security) that would give me back the first 25 years of my life, and put me on the correct road instead of having to learn it all for myself starting at age 25.

There is no 'getting even.' Only surviving and living your own meaningful life. That's about the best I've figured it.

Not that I couldn't think of a good use for a Ryder truck loaded with Ammonium Sulfate.
