I'm hoping that some of you who might be knowledgeable in the fields of physiology, biology, or psychology might be able to furnish some opinions as to whether man, as a species, developed humour as a funtion of our physiology.
There is a substantial amount of evidence to support the idea that humour has various positive effects on the physical body. That makes me wonder if the human species has a natural sense of humour as a result of the species evolving ways of meeting the body's needs.
Does anyone have any ideas about this?
