Dear fellow members, Is anyone out 'there' awake and online here at JWD when I am? I live on the other side of the world (I shan't be more specific than that at this time) from most of the active members on this site, and I would be interested to get to know someone here in my vicinity.

    Greetings, V.

    [same message in translation follows:]

    Kjære medlemmer,

Er der noen som er vakne og driver her på JWD når jeg er det? Jeg bor på den andre siden av verden fra flertallet aktive medlemmer her, da vil jeg gjerne bli kjent med noen her i nærheten.

    Hilsen, V.

What and how does the dragnet figure for JW's today? The WT article that explained it all in great details was in 1992....much has changed since then, now it doesn't make any sense at all as far as a prophetic illustration? Did Jesus mean for a story to be a prophecy anyway?

Lego - Thank you for the welcome!

Geevee - Scriptural interpretation aside, I used the dragnet analogy to differentiate myself from the elitest 'fishers': being less discriminatory of the types that I bring up with my dragnet, I welcome all... although I do sort by essential quality.

unclebruce calling the 'other side' ... come in otherside ....

    G'day V,

I just arrived back from the other side of the world (europe) and am now posting from the South East corner of Australia at 11pm yaaaawn..(just got home from an evening welding class).

Things are often a little quite on JWD at this time of night (the Americans are tucked up in bed snoring their precious little hearts out and the English are having their breakfast and keeping their shops 'n stuff ... I always found this a very good time to start a Farkel* thread - he'd be up in about two hours only to find his name being tossed about like muck.

The sandpit might be empty but feel free to make your own fun

*Farkel is Apostate #1 (and a damed fine pianist).

Thanks for the tip, Uncle B. I suppose I'll have to re-learn the pleasures of solitary amusement. Not so devastating, really; I do have two hands... and a keyboard!

And another thing - WELCOME TO JWD! .. it's a bit scarety at first but you could find some real friends here.

You can introduce yourself with a formal post or just start posting comments on subjects you like or feel strongly about.

The natives are sometimes restless but usually friendly enough.

Happy Posting Valkyrie .. whatever side of the planet you're on

Sometimes I am awake very early in the morning here. It's nice to know there will be posters around to keep me company.
