The SWAT team came with a bright light and loud noise, but narcotics officers say they arrested two Odessa males and charged them with felony counts of possession of marijuana without incident.

Acting on a search warrant, officers from the Odessa Police Department's Narcotics/Vice unit were assisted by the SWAT team who utilized a loud and bright diversion device and two canine units in making their arrests, according to Detective Jesse Garcia. Officers seized approximately five pounds of marijuana and $800 dollars, which Detective Gregory Travland said was the, "proceeds from the sales."

"People in the area were complaining about what was going on there," he said while pointing to the home at 801 25th St. where the arrests were made.

Garcia said that Jehovah Hernandez, 18, and his 16-year-old brother were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Garcia declined to release the name of the 16-year-old because he is a minor. In making the arrest, Garcia said the SWAT team used a diversion device that resembles a grenade.

"There's a really loud noise and a bright flash," he said, adding that it distracts people who law enforcement officials are attempting to arrest.

Garcia declined to comment on the details of what the probable cause was in getting the search warrant, but he added that the document will become a matter of public record.

The odds are probably fairly high that Jehovah's and Jesus's parents are named Jose and Maria Hernandez.

I don't care if noone else finds this funny - I find it hilarious.

I guess it is because I once knew of an old man in a neighboring community whose parents had also named him "Jehovah".

As typical, as various JWs continously moved in and out of the area over the decades, and local JWs would forget to "warn" them about this guy, they would eventually run into this man, who would give them a hardtime about being "his" witnesses.
