Wife wants to go to the library and research 607 from other sources. I already have mountains of evidence on that. But i was wondering if anyone knew of some other little nuggets i could slip in while we are there. Do libraries carry CoC?

many do, but if yours does not you can donate a copy to them.

Some libraries carry COC. The Toronto reference library has it, but it can't be taken out. It has to be read on site.

The one in my town doesn't have CoC.

My first look into the matter came before I figured it out - I did a search online to 'reputable' historical sites, timelines, etc. I found that no one, but no one, accepted 607. That made me look further into it. I would suspect a look at encyclopedias of all sorts in the library might have the same effect. Scholars never heard of the WTS date and surrounding nonsense.

I'm not a JW. What is 607 and the significence to life?

607 is the JW date for the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar. This date is crucial, because 1914 is calculated as 607 BCE + 2520 years (From the prophecy of Daniel). The problem is that 607 is totally unsupported by archaeologists and historians, who instead point to the year 587 BCE.

Project went well. It helped that i had printed the chart from that other thread and had plenty of places to look. I also showed her the intro to the old awakes that said that the generation of 1914 wouldn't pass away. I am going to show her tuesday at the KH lib the divine plan that shows where the dates originally came from. (the great triangle...)

She wants to write to the society for clarification. I told her this would result in unpleasant consequences but i think i'll let it run it's course.
