I can't believe this!! I have a 7 1/2 month German Shepherd puppy that apparently just went into heat. Kinda early for a dog her size, but the vet told me they won't perform spays on bitches in heat, so, get ready, I should put her on the PILL! A birth control pill! For dogs! What the ....!
Has anyone put their dog on the pill???

Well, no, I never have. But, I've heard of it being done for dog shows. Wouldn't want the dog to come into heat right in the middle of a dog show!

I don't know why your post makes me laugh! I've had friends that had to put their dogs on antidepressants! I know of another person that would leave work to give her dog insulin injections. So, yep, I guess "the pill" would be a probable solution for the new puppy....

So wow I guess if you have to buy them from the vet they will only cost you about, what $400 per month (an exageration yes). Vets are expensive!
