When my brother was "in" first as MS, then Elder he didnt get along with my mother or 2 brothers and 3 sisters who are also JW's. They didn't get along with him either btw. This guy was the epitome of the judgemental, scripture quoting A'hole JW that I'm sure most of you have come across a time or two. But now since he's been DA'd, I've noticed that they all have become closer to him, talking to him more, doing things together. My question is ..has anyone ever noticed your family getting closer after one or more have been DA'd?

Hi Cheen! I missed your first post, so I'm welcoming you now. In my neck of the woods, I haven't seen it bring families closer. I guess that I didn't stick around long enough to find out.

It is strange that such a dyed in the wool dub eventually DA'ed I wonder what made him change so much. I suppose the reversal of a very judgemental person in a family will calm down the atmosphere.
