So it was an amazingly huge coincidence that Charles Taze Russell was using logos from all three degrees of the York Rite Knights Templars; Knights of Malta, Order of the Red Cross.....and at a time in US history when anti-Masonic movements were climaxing. For Taze Russell to use these logos as a sort of codifier for fellow Masons, is no shocker. Freemasonry is hellbent on secret , initiations, orders, codes and methods of communication. It totally makes sense for Taze Russell to use symbols and imagery to brag of his elitist connections. -

Again, the use of symbols like the winged disc proves nothing. These symbols and many others--were used by lots of people from the Assyrians, to the Egyptians, etc. and are not confined to Knights Templar. Even today a very well known car company, Chrysler, uses it as its symbol. http://www.ptcruiser.com/pt-cruiser-2006.htm To Russell, it certainly had no pagan or Freemason meaning. He used it to represent "the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings" found at Malachi 4:2. To him it meant the Millennial Reign of Christ. You are assigning Masonic meanings to these symbols, whereas Russell gave them what he considered Scriptural meanings.

OK you are getting the point. The Assyrians, Egyptians, KT....could they all have the same source? What is that source? This is not exclusively about Masonry. Masonry and the KT is just a relatively modern manifestation of something older and deeper. This is the POINT of these threads.
