In other words majority of people would be able to see the truth with their own minds.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. ~1 Cor 1:18,21
This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. ~Eph 4:17-19
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ~2 Cor 4:3-6
Men do not see the truth because they love the darkness more than the light (read Romans 1:18-32). Living for Jesus means denying yourself. Most people love their own lives (even their sin) so much and would rather do their own thing, that giving it all up would not only be unthinkable, but seems impossible. If men would only see what it is that they are throwing away. And for what? Worldly pleasure that lasts a moment in contrast to eternity with the Creator.
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” ~Jn 3:19-21
If I consider for a moment that god exists, he would be an all-powerful intellect wouldn’t he, so he would have created man with the same intellectual qualities as stated in Genesis 1:26 wouldn't he?
Genesis 1:26 says "Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” "
Nowhere in Gen 1:26 does it say that man was to be made to have the mind of God - with an all-powerful intellect. It only says that man was man in His image, according to His likeness. Because we are not all-knowing, wise or powerful does not nullify the fact that God exists. The Scriptures say that all creation testifies concerning His being. We are without excuse.

Actually, it is only by God who unveils Himself to the seeker that they see the light. That's why it is called grace. If you seek Him, He will be found. Knock and the door will be opened. Ask and it shall be given. Only God can change the heart of a man and God draws near to Himself those He chooses.
