Some of us don't have fathers that care about them, and so when we find others that care more about us than our biological fathers do, then they ought to be told that they are special.
And I think Ozzie is special, and that's why I made this post.

Thank you for the kind thoughts and welcome to the family!
Mrs Ozzie and I have had a nice day with some other fathers etc. Sadly our children and grandkids couldn't be with us. Being loyal JWs they still can't do that sort of thing! But Mrs Ozzie was very kind and gave thanks for her children's father.
How sad it is that we grew up believing that such a day was 'worldly' and somehow bad? Really, what does it matter how it started? It's a time to remember nice things about our dads. We passed by a cemetery on our way to friends (you know the ones) and there was a queue of cars waiting to get in. The place was full of people wishing to remember their departed fathers. A time to treasure and reflect.
What is wrong with that?
So, to all our fellow posters and you lurking class members who are fathers, Happy Fathers Day.
