The Daniel book because it made me release how stupid the societies reasoning is and how they strech the scripture to mean anything they want them to.

I was born in so I'm not quite sure what books were used. I wasn't a very good witness anyway.

In my analysis, none were better than another as they all burned equally as well.

Live Forever book. It actually taught you about stuff. The new ones are too elementary.

The Live Forever book had me from the first page. Cheesy disco pictures and all. LOL
I think the reason I found it so appealing was because of its dramatic descriptions of a world on the brink of total ruin due to corrupt and satanic political, business, and religious leaders, combined with its promise of dramatic personality transformation for those who follow the JW religion. The effect it had on me back in 1991 was nothing short of narcotic, it was sort of like falling in love.
*sigh* never again will I experience that particular high. I get a little of it when I read some great philosophical insight now, but nothing like what I experienced then.
