It was a fascinating program , but most of the experts quoted seemed to dispel the idea that it was some kind of evolution "throwback". Essentially they are mentally disturbed , very backward adults who have never grown up.
It always amuses me when scientists desperately look for some proof for evolution. I watched a program regarding the coelacanth , the fish that was supposedly the long ago extinct "missing link" between fish and land creatures millions of years ago until it was discovered happily swimming around the Indian Ocean. A researcher had a fish in a tank and was trying to make it "walk" along the bottom of the tank by placing it in a harness until he reluctantly admitted that it wasn't successful.
The Mars "fossil" http://evolutionoftruth.com/evo/evomars.htm is a similar case & is another in the long list of dubious "proofs" inflicted on gullible people since the days of Piltdown Man.
