I just noticed that the bound volumes of the Watchtower and Awake magazines for the year 2004 are now up to $80.00 and $70.00, respectively. The beginning bid was $8.00. Why would these bound volumes be going for so much? You can usually buy bound volumes on eBay for just a few dollars. What's so special about 2004?
I can't understand why they would bring this much money?

It might be the laws of the market, demand far outstrips supply and the prices go up, it's the sellers' market as opposed to when the supply outstrips demand in which case it's the buyers' market. But these can change from day to day.

How about a conspiracy theory: loyal Dubs, knowing about the keenness of apostates to purchase old Watchtower stuff on Ebay, are deliberately bidding up WBTS material to hurt their enemies in the wallet.

Are the 2004 bound volumes the last year that have hard binding? The only other thing significant is the rehash of the blood "new light" from 2000. Perhaps someone found a lot of hidden images?

I think the WT's got a picture of "da Judge" with his "buddy" Jack Daniels, and the Awake shows an interior pic of the UN Kingdom Hall. -

Holy cow!!
I had a near complete collection from the 60's - 1992-ish. I donated them to a kingdom hall.
Still have about 5 boxes of WTS literature in my garage. Part of me wants to toss it, another part wants to just burn them. Still this other part wants to make some money thru ebay.
Decisions, decisions, decisions.

That's not a bad return on an investment I didn't pay a dime for... (thinking) ...I wonder what some of the older BVs go for...
