Ok, well I have been in Dayton all week on vacation. I have been staying with my Mom and Grandpa. I have had a really good time plus its been a treat to relax and get away from work and Tennessee. I had some car trouble even before I left home and put my car in the shop up here. I got to see my Brother several times this week and his new Fiancee. I wish them well in life. I will be heading back to Tennessee tomorrow afternoon.

The Aposta-Pizzafest went great today. Im guessing we had 20 in attendance. Here are the attendees:

    1.Myself -of course

    2. Darin and Katie, and Darby

3.Toby-Darin's EX, she stopped by for a few minutes.

    4. Mom and Grandpa

    5. Sybil and Jerry

    6. Evelyn Adams- a friend of Sybil and me too

7.Dantheman, and also Freedom Frog who rode with him

    8. My childhood JW friend Janel, and her boyfriend.

    9. Mike (Java)

    10. Lisavegas and her family (husband, daughter, son in law, grandchildren)

    Am I forgetting anyone?

We had a great time, and unlike last year it was cool in the restaurant. Last year the AC was broken and it was close to 100 degrees inside. It was also more crowded and louder than last year, which kinda made conversation difficult.

Overall I was well pleased with the turnout. There are 2 people we expected to come but didnt, one was a childhood JW friend that I grew up with, and the other was the elderly Grandma of Janel. Other than that we took up the whole back corner of the restaurant. Sybil sang for us towards the end, and a couple of young people were smiling and getting a kick out of that.

The highlight of the evening was when Java passed out the watchtower funny money bills, I have several that Im saving for special occasions.

I believe the next meetup I hold in Dayton I will try to find a different location that is more quiet and conducive to conversation, perhaps a picnic shelter at a park, or who knows?

The pizza was delicious as always, and I look forward to hosting my next event, which will probably be in Knoxville.

Had a great time. I forgot to take my camera out of my purse again. doh! But several others got pictures, I'm sure they'll post 'em.

I agree, it would have been nice to spend more time talking and getting to know others. A picnic shelter would be nice and each of us could bring a dish to share.

I only had one bad moment and It's still haunting me.

There is nothing like enjoying a delicious pizza along with good company but it probably was for the pizza that you accepted the high heat in the restaurant last year.
