I'm reposting this as I didn't get a response, jw or jw explanator
How do jws reconcile "it's not what goes in that defiles but what comes out" with their blood policy that plainly emphasises "it's not what comes out, but what goes in" ?
A friend recently asked a hospital blood facts appointed elder about whether or not autologous blood was acceptable, and the answer given was actually these words "No, it can't go in after leaving the body; it's what goes in that matters, not what comes out".
She said that she found the saying disturbing.
