No Blessed Star, I have no children in my life to enjoy their darling ways. And I will have no grandchildren.
But I do remember with tremendous fondness my little witness nieces though and the memorable things they said.
Their dad would send us home videos of the girls as they played in swimming holes and rode their first pony and picked tomato horn worms off tomato plants out in the boonies where they lived near Turlock.
We watched as they made their first meals with their mother and found a hummingbird nest and built a rabbit cage and rowed a boat around their house when the levie broke.
We watched them climb ladders to reach barn owl nests and rescue a couple of weak ones.
We enjoyed seeing them climb into small aircraft when their dad got his license to fly.
We watched them graduate from a small town home school.
I dont personally own any of these videos. These are now my memories of my witness inlaws children.
But children to me are gifts from God. If only parents were not so plagued with worry and stress, they could enjoy their little children so much more and the precious sweet things they say and do.
I don't have any children of my own...but I have a funny story of a witness girl from my old hall.
She is about 11 or 12 years old, her parents are both very "zealous" ( pioneers, working towards MS position etc) and proud of the fact that she answers questions at EVERY meeting.
Well around Valentines day, she was quoted in the local news paper answering the question " what does valentines day mean to you?" You know, what a fine opportunity for her to "witness", right???
Well she replies "It's a special day when I show how much I love my parents. I get up early in the morning to fix them breakfast and make coffee for them".
I'm not sure how they parents responded, but I'm sure it didn't go over that well.....
I thought her reply was sweet!
What a sweet child, Schne-belly! Imagine what the little witness children go through!
If she got disciplined from that remark wouldnt that be a shame?
Her little heart is just trying to make sense of all the nonsense.

anewme - those are wonderful memories.
I am trying to remember some good memories with children hmmmm. I remember telling someone when I was a kid about the food she cooked. I told her, "So what's up you can't cook? This food have no pepper in it". She never forgot.

That is really sweet. I was looking at supernanny and was shocked at the way those children were behaving. It really depends on your home life doesn't it. The discipline from parents are especially important.
