my sis is just back from a trip to bethel england....and she said there was someone marching outside with 2 white sticks and a placard that read...jws abuse blind people

or JWs ABUSE, (they are) BLIND PEOPLE!
How would blind people find their way to the Bethel without some kind of assistance? It sounded from your description that they were alone. How would they know how to prepare their signs if they were blind, without some kind of assistance?

BTW, I meant to add that JWs don't discriminate as to whom they abuse. They abuse all people pretty much equally.

We had a blind girl in our congregation. Someone used to pick her up and drive her to the meetings but when she got disfellowshipped they stopped doing this. She used to have to take a taxi to and from the meeting or take a bus that would take disabled people around. She would have to pay for this service and I am sure she could not afford to do this three times a week round trips....She would stand outside waiting for the taxi and no one would talk to her....very sad

I think people can tolerate (not accept but tolerate) the stupid doctrines and even the stealing of peoples' life-time, but when they get up to that sort of business, others rightfully condemn and trample the wt underfoot. So they cry "persecution" ---- yeh whatever.

scully i dont think the guy doing the marching was blind...my sis said he didnt walk hesitantly... unless he had done it so often he was used to the road between the 2 buildings..it would appear he was doing it on someone elses behalf..maybe even a family member
yes my comment was that its just someone else to abuse...jws have little time for anyone less than their specification of perfection...plenty of time to talk about how helpful and accepting they are and precious little evidence of it
