    For you Pink Floyd fans:

Wanted to let you know how the concert went. David Gilmour did a fantastic job on "Echos" according to my husband. He also played the crowd-pleasing "Wish You Were Here" and "Comfortably Numb". But, I do have a slight complaint. I know people always play new stuff at concerts to sell their new CD, but he played new stuff about 60% of the concert. It was a little annoying after a while.

And, I will be very honest here, I did fall asleep a few times during that first half when he was playing his new stuff. Maybe it was the Margaritas...

But I woke up for the good stuff.

No, I'll be applying for jobs this summer, they always test urine in the healthcare field here, BUT everyone else was, so I think I may have gotten a contact high?

Love Pink Floyd never been to one of their concerts. They have an older concert on DVD "Pulse" I hear is great I haven't gotten it yet. If you haven't heard their "Division Bell" album I strongly recommend it. Absoulutely great album. I drive truck for a living and am subject to random drug tests the only thing I have not been able to experience from my predub days.

Saw them back in 1988. It was the first concert ever held at Ohio Stadium, and the buildup leading up to it was like nothing I can remember before or since.

So, we smoked a bowl and watched the show. And to tell you the truth, it turned out to be a real "Catcher in the Rye" experience for me. It all seemed really phoney and gimmicky. All the swirling lights and the inflated pig and whatnot, it was all so obvious and artless.

I've never liked PF much since then.

    Sorry! Just giving my experience...

And the two shall become as ONE. No Rogers = No Floyd. They would do well to just kiss and make up. The one can just not do without the other. They are both the absolute uniqueness that makes Pink Floyd. We're getting too old to not bury the hatchet.

    I agree Prophecor,

I went to an imitation Pink Floyd in Minneapolis last year (Australian Pink Floyd? or something like that.) It was actually awesome, very moving, (despite no fatties there, either.) I think they did a lot of work to make it "just like the original" complete with the backup singers, film show, balloon, and everything. I hate to say, but I liked a lot of that concert better than the David Gilmour.

Except the lights at David Gilmour. they were just really awesome. Plus his guitar playing was louder and somehow right on key (no I'm not a music person at all, but it somehow lulled me into a trance (ie: I fell asleep.) (again, contact high?)
